I am Cynthia Echevarria, a Nuyorican visual artist living in New York City. My art is a vibrant reflection of Puerto Rican culture, intertwined with the experience of growing up in the bustling urban landscape of NYC. I draw inspiration from the dynamic world of growing up in New York and Puerto Rico, using my paintings and sculptures to delve into themes of identity, resistance, heritage, and modern urban life. Through bold and expressive artworks, I strive to capture the city's pulsating energy while paying homage to ancestral roots and community stories. My creations form a bridge between fine art and street culture, preserving the stories, symbols, and experiences that continue to shape the identities of both Puerto Ricans and New Yorkers.
